The Dark Knight Voted #1 Movie of All Time on IMDB
posted on: Jul, 19 2008Now on Saturday night, and with 19,000 more votes counted, the film has propelled into the coveted #1 spot! Of course, The Dark Knight is expected to slide down the list as more and more votes are added to the average, but it’s worth noting this almost unprecedented accomplishment.
The top spot has been held by The Godfather since sometime in the late 1990’s (this late 1996 capture of the chart from the early days of IMDb shows Star Wars in the top slot). As far as I can tell, no film has unseated The Godfather from the top spot in the last decade. The last film to get even close was The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King, which got a high as the #2 in 2004. Return of the King currently sits comfortably at #14.

posted on: Jun, 25 2008Good day is today for all around the world The Dark Knight fans. First review has hits the interwebs, more specific it’s on AintItCool site. We’re gonna just to represent you few important things from the very first The Dark Knight review.
Here’s some quotes:
“The film feels more like a crime drama in a grand city scape than a typical comic book movie. It feels like Heat except Batman is Al Pacino and The Joker is Robert De Niro and just like in that film we have a great scene between Heath Ledger and Christian Bale across a table. There is also an element of a Greek Tragedy.. There is a vast sense of morality at play within the film.”
“The Joker is almost more of a terrorist than criminal. He is not motivated by money. He wants to see people suffer.”
“The run time is two and a half hours. It doesn’t feel that long as there is so much going on within the film.”
